Ruth Dee (Cochran) Gregory

ATWOOD -- Ruth Dee (Cochran) Gregory, 88, died Monday (Dec. 29, 2003) at Rawlins County Health Center in Atwood.

She was born Aug. 14, 1915, to William W. and Violet R. (Felker) Cochran in Hastings.

On Sept. 5, 1964, she married Woods Wilson Gregory. She lived in Topeka for 10 years and then lived in Denver where she worked in a veteran's administration hospital and rehabilitation center for the state of Colorado. She had lived in Atwood since 1977.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Woods on Sept. 6, 1979; four brothers, John, Warren, Donald and Russell Cochran; three sisters, Mary Jean Pettera, Carolyn Sue Cochran and Joan Hale.

Survivors include one brother, Lynn Cochran and wife, Rhea of Whittier, Calif., and one sister, Dolores Benda of Atwood.

Services are Thursday, 3 p.m., at Brantley Funeral Chapel in Atwood with Don Benda officiating. Interment will be in Atwood Fairview Cemetery in Atwood, Friday, 9 a.m.

Visitation is today and Wednesday, 9 a.m.-9 p.m., and Thursday from 9 a.m. until service time.

Memorials may be given in her name to Atwood Good Samaritan Center or to Atwood Second Century Fund.
