Wayne 'Kirt' Ruble
Wayne "Kirt" Ruble, 49, died Thursday (Dec. 4, 2003) in Frontier County.
He was born Aug. 23, 1954, to Dean and Natalie (Noll) Ruble in Great Bend, Kan. He grew up in Great Bend and graduated from Great Bend High School in 1972. He graduated from Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kan.
On March 10, 1988, he married Sheila Hahn in Mobile, Ala. The couple made their home in Kingsville, Texas, where he was employed by Texas A&M University. They came to McCook in 1998, where he was Dean of Students for Mid-Plains Community College.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila of McCook; three sons, Jeffrey Ruble of Kansas City, Kan., Spencer Ruble of McCook and Timothy Ruble of Great Bend; one daughter, Micaela Ruble of McCook; his mother, Natalie Sekevec and husband, Marion of Brownell, Kan.; and one sister, Kim Kekele and husband, Mike of Claflin, Kan.
Services are Saturday, 2 p.m., at Herrmann Memorial Chapel in McCook with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date.
Memorials may be given to the Ruble Children's Education fund.
