Harold Edward Scofield
BURWELL -- Harold Edward Scofield, 77, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (Nov. 19, 2003) at Community Memorial Health Center in Burwell.
He was born June 29, 1926, to Earl and Katie (Bartos) Scofield on a farm near Burwell. He attended school through eighth grade.
On Feb. 23, 1946, he married Beulah Sinner.
In August 1974, he married Emma Bray. The couple made their home in Cambridge. He was a laborer in construction.
He was preceded in death by both wives, Beulah and Emma; one sister, Vernie Clark; and one step-daughter, Patricia Adams.
Survivors include two daughters, Nancy and husband, Vernon Perrott of Burwell and Marilyn and husband, Herb Truax of Gordon; one son, Bryan Scofield of Omaha; one step-daughter, Phyllis Jean and husband, Dale Allen of Cambridge; four brothers, Orin Scofield of Broken Bow, Mervin and wife, Glayda Scofield of David City, Kenneth and wife, Kim Scofield of Oceanside, Calif., and Ronnie and wife, Susan Scofield of Verdigre; two sisters, Catherine and husband, Jack Ritter of Anthony, Kan., and Ella Mae and husband, Ralph McIntosh of Broken Bow; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are Saturday, 10 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Burwell. Inurnment is 2 p.m., at Prairie Home Cemetery in Holdrege with the Rev. Matthew Berndt officiating.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Burwell or Cambridge Ambulance or the Community Memorial Health Center.
