Harold L. Frack
NORTON, Kan. -- Harold L. Frack, 78, died Monday (June 17, 2002) at the Andbe Nursing Home in Norton. He was a former resident of Hendley.
He was born Oct. 1, 1923, to Claude and Josephine (Herhahn) Frack at Hendley. He graduated from Holbrook High School in 1941. He attended McCook College for 1 year. He served in the U. S. Army for a short time and then was employed at the Hastings Ammunition Depot at Hastings.
On April 19, 1946, he married Martha "Peg" Elliott at Hastings. He built, owned and operated a locker and grocery store in Holbrook. In 1953, he started farming in the Hendley area. He also worked for B-D in Holdrege. He retired in 1994 and moved to Norton.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church and Harmman Redd American Legion Post No. 63 both of Norton.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, Duane.
Survivors include his wife, Martha "Peg" of Norton; one son, James Frack and wife, Rhonda of Norcatur; two daughters, Debra and husband, Michael Chesterman of Nebraska City and Betty Frack of Beaver City; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Hendley Cemetery with the Rev. Lewis VanDerWege officiating. Military honors by Harmman Post American Legion Post No. 63 of Norton.
