Bernard Karash

CAMBRIDGE -- Bernard Karash, 87, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at the Cambridge Manor.

He was born Dec. 23, 1915, near Cambridge, to John and Mary (Kaveny) Karash. He worked on the farm with his dad. He later bought a pickup and did deliveries around Cambridge for Ralph King at the Lumber Yard. He moved to the Cambridge Manor in 1989, and has lived there until his death.

He was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Ambrose; and two sisters, Margerite Bassford and Rosella Simpson.

Survivors include a sister, Catherine Ziegler of Algonac, Mich.; and 15 nieces and nephews.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at St. John's Catholic Church in Cambridge with the Rev. Robert Barnhill officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Cambridge.

Rosary will be recited Tuesday, 7 p.m., at the Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge.
