Philip Propp
CORVALLIS, Ore. -- Philip Propp, 99, died Friday (May 9, 2003) at Heart of the Valley in Corvallis, Ore.
He was born Feb. 5, 1904, to Henry and Anna Marie (Schriner) Propp at Hausenbach, Russia. His family immigrated to America in 1906 and farmed in Culbertson.
On June 6, 1933, he married Dorothy Edna DeWayne in Trenton. They resided in Culbertson until moving to Oregon in 1998, where they lived with their daughter and her children He served in the U. S. Calvary.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Dorothy on May 6, 2001; a daughter, Shirley McNutt; and nine siblings.
Survivors include a son, Jack Propp of McCook; a daughter, Patricia Covey of Corvallis, Ore.; a sister, Esther Nowka of Culbertson; a son-in-law Harold McNutt; and six grandchildren.
Funeral services were today, 10:30 a.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Daniel Spearow officiating. Burial was in the Culbertson Cemetery.
