Blood brothers

Monday, December 17, 2001

Dear Editor,

I wish everyone in the USA would read or have read to them Blood Brothers by Hampton Sides in the November-December Modern Maturity AARP magazine.

All the ballyhoo about Europe's treatment of Jews and these soldiers of ours in the Bataan March -- misery for three years by us Americans!

I remotely remember reading or hearing a little over the radio, but this article drops my respect for FDR.

I have an understanding of some of our returning soldiers that I never had before, and I'm afraid many Americans will not understand the taxes of the 9-11 disaster because it looks like we aren't going to sit around and enjoy life while many endure the results of terrorists. Thanks
