Thanks for contest

Dear Editor, Football fans, by now it is pretty well known that we have all survived the Rose Bowl and Super Bowl.

I think we had another good year of football to enjoy, whether we were a winner or not. I know our family did, and at this time, I would like to express my thanks to the McCook Gazette for carrying another year of the Pigskin Picks Contest.

I do think that these sponsors are entitled to a great big thank you for their part of the contest: Curtis Cattle Co., J.L. Construction, Samway's Floor and Furniture, Farrell's Pharmacy, Budke Motors, Howard Kool Motors, Terry's Auto, Glass Express, McCook Glass and the McCook Gazette.

My family has followed this contest for many, many years and do hope that the contest will continue for many more years.

By the way, there are a very few who get to be in the Holiday Bowl part of this contest, and I never did see who the winner was this year.
