Races bring money

Dear Editor:

I would like to comment on the races. The races bring in a lot of fans to this town that spend money here in town. They spend the night at motels, and buy food and gas also. There are things that go on in town that I don't care for either, but I don't whine and cry about it. Let the racers have their fun one night a week.

They spend a lot of money and time on their hobbies. Some people play golf, fish or whatever for fun these guys and gals race for fun.

I go to the races every Friday night and I enjoy them. It keeps a lot of the younger kids off the streets and not getting in trouble at least one of the week.

If you just talk decent to Donny about getting the races over by 11:00 p.m. I am sure he would try, but everybody just complains all the time and it won't get you anywhere. If you want this town to grow and the businesses to make money let new things come to this town and work with it.

If not this town will be exactly what some people want it to be a retirement  village. The races are cheaper then going to a movie, and you get better entertainment for your money. So let the racers have their fun and live with it.  Some of those drivers are better drivers on the streets because of what they do on the track. So let the drivers have their fun and drive hard.
