The family of John and LaVaughn Fries of McCook is hosting a card shower in honor of the couple's 65th wedding anniversary. They were married April 25, 1937. Children of the couple are Steven and Gayleen Fries of Culbertson, Tyrone and Donna Fries of St. Peters, Mo., Wayne and Judy Fries of Leander, Texas, Harvey and Betty Fries of Lincoln and Russell and Ruth Fries of Smithville, Mo.
