Couple exchanges vows on New Year's Eve
OMAHA -- Rhonda Lundberg and Dean Josten were united in marriage Dec. 31, 2002, at Rejoice! Lutheran Church in Omaha with the Rev. Brad Meyer officiating.
Parents of the couple are Flora Lundberg of McCook, the late L. John Lundberg and Ray and Darlene Josten of Sidney. The bride was escorted to the altar by her mother and her brother, Robert Lundberg of Lincoln.
She wore an ankle-length silver dress with beaded accents. She carried a bouquet of long stemmed burgundy roses and eucalyptus.
The matron of honor was Shelly Wiese of Omaha and the best man was Neal Josten of Omaha, son of the bridegroom.
Selected Scriptures were read by Zachary Cole of Nixa, Mo., and Michael Lundberg of Lincoln, nephew of the bride.
Vocalists for the ceremony were Robert Lundberg, Pamela Hoffman of Lincoln, niece of the bride, Jana Lundberg Mellick, niece of the bride, and her husband, Mark.
The reception was at the couple's new home.
The bride is a graduate of the University of Nebraska at Lincoln with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and the University of Nebraska at Omaha with her masters in teaching the mentally handicapped. She has pursued 30 hours of additional postgraduate course-work and is a teacher at Rockbrook Elementary School of Westside Community Schools.
The bridegroom is also a graduate of UNL with a bachelor of science degree in business administration. He is the director of strategic accounts with Corporate Express.
The couple has plans to honeymoon in the Cayman Islands.
