Writer's seminar offered at Mid-Plains Community College at North Platte

NORTH PLATTE -- Author Peter Davidson will present a seminar, "How to Write a Children's Picture Book," at the McDonald-Belton Campus of the Mid-Plains Community College Area in North Platte on Friday, Aug. 9, from 9am to 4 p.m. The writer's seminar is for anyone interested in writing and/or illustrating children picture books for possible publication.

Topics that will be presented will include: the definition of a children's picture book, developing an idea, plotting the book, writing the book, illustrating the book, typing the manuscript, copyrighting, locating potential publishers, marketing, and understanding contract terms.

Peter Davidson has authored twenty-two books, including eight children's picture books, and has had many other types of works published. Davidson has presented over 400 writer's seminars nationwide and has appeared on over seventy-five radio and television programs. Davidson's writing seminars provide practical, useful information that can be applied to nearly every writer's projects. The Community Services Division of MPCCA in North Platte has offered the Peter Davidson Writing Seminars for nearly twenty years.

A registration fee will be charged and the one-day seminar will meet at the McDonald-Belton Campus of Mid-Plains Community College Area in North Platte.
