Dennis James Marchant
Dennis James Marchant, 27, died Monday (July 21, 2003) at Community Hospital of McCook.
He was born Sept. 9, 1975, to Donald and Laura (Miller) Marchant in McCook. He graduated from Oakley High School in Oakley, Kan., in 1994. He attended Dodge City Community College, Fort Hays State in Hays, Kan., and Black Hills State at Spearfish, S.D. He played football on a scholarship at Dodge City.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Laurence and Mary Miller and Arthur Marchant.
Survivors include his parents of McCook; one brother, Daniel Mark of Memphis, Tenn.; one sister, Christine Ann Glenn and husband, Chris of Aurora, Colo.; and grandmother, Catherine Marchant of Hemingford.
Mass of Christian burial is Friday, 10 a.m., at Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook with the Revs. Gary Brethour and Donald McCarthy officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery.
The rosary will be recited Thursday, 7 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home. Visitation is today until 7 p.m. and Thursday until the time of the rosary. Memorials may be given in his name.
