Mildred Oetting
WARRENSBURG, Mo. -- Mildred Oetting, 78, of Concordia, Mo., died Monday (Sept. 1, 2003) at Western Missouri Medical Center in Warrensburg, Mo.
He was born May 9, 1925, to Edward and Esther (Stoecker) Buhlig in Corder, Mo. She grew up in Higginsville, Mo. She graduated from Higginsvile High School.
On Oct. 20, 1946, she married Edgar Emil Oetting. She lived in Concordia most of her life. She was the owner and operator of Oetting's Cleaner in Concordia from 1954-1967. She later worked for the Concordia Public School as a cook and St. Paul Lutheran High School in the mail room. She was a homemaker.
She was active in the Girl Scout Program and was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother and three sisters.
Survivors include her husband, Edgar of Concordia; one son, Keith Oetting and wife, Nadine of McCook; two daughters, Berna Dean Nierman and husband, Wayne of Sedalia, Mo., and Vicki Langendorf and husband, Steve of Edwardsville, Ill.; and seven grandchildren.
Services are Thursday, 10:30 a.m., at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia with Pastor Lee Hagan officiating. Interment will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
Visitation is is Wednesday, 6-7:30 p.m., at the church. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church or St. Paul's Lutheran High School in care of Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home.
