Used tire drive is set for Beaver City

BEAVER CITY -- Furnas County residents may take used tires to a collection/disposal at the Beaver City landfill, Monday and Tuesday, from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.

Tires mounted on rims or those from tire wholesalers and retailers will not be accepted.

The Beaver City collection, and another in Orleans, are financed with a "scrap tire collection site cleanup grant" awarded to the village of Orleans by the Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality.
