Fund raiser

Jars, such as this one at Casey's West, have been placed in various locations throughout the area to benefit Zachary Neel, infant son of Jamie Stepler and Brian Neel of McCook. Zachary, who has been transferred to the neonatal unit at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha. A benefit fund at AmFirst Bank in McCook also has been established. The funds will help defray the cost of transportation and lodging for the family. Contributions can be made payable to the Zachary Neel account at the bank. Zachary was born Aug. 25, 2003, approximately six weeks premature, at Community Hospital of McCook and is suffering from respiratory problems.
