HILLSBORO, Kan. -- Ashley McKillip of Hayes Center High School has signed a letter of intent to play volleyball for Tabor College this season.

Head coach Amy Ratzlaff recently made the announcement.

The 5-foot-10 middle hitter was a Sertoma all-star volleyball team player, a conference first-teamer and a McCook Gazetteland All-Area selection.

McKillip also excels in the classroom. She is an academic All-Stater, a North Platte Telegraph Academic all-star, a National Honor Society member and a state journalism champion.

"Ashley brings a lot of amazing gifts with her to Tabor," Ratzlaff said.

"On the court, she brings power and speed combined with a knowledge of the game that will make her an impact player during her four years here.

"Off the court, she brings Christian maturity and the ability to excel in the classroom.

"I believe Tabor is truly blessed to have Ashley coming to campus."

Tabor College is a member of the Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference (KCAC) and the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA).
