McCOOK, Neb. One person was confirmed dead and another seriously injured in a plane crash near the McCook airport Monday. The plane, a Piper Malibu Mirage, crashed into a residential area an eighth of a mile southwest of Ben Nelson Regional Airport adjacent to the main highway shortly before noon. One occupant was declared dead at the scene and another was transported to Community Hospital with serious injuries and then transferred to a larger facility...

MCC's road sweep of Lamar clinches Region No. 2 seed

LAMAR, Colo. The McCook Community College volleyball team wrapped up the regular season Saturday with a 3-0 sweep over Lamar Community College. MCC won 25-19, 25-15, 25-18.
