Nebraska Amazon workers still unpaid

PAPILLION, Neb. Some 140 workers at an Amazon distribution center in Papillion have still not been paid for two weeks of work done in August. Dan Riskowski, organizer for the North Central States Regional Council of Carpenters, said workers are owed approximately half a million dollars in wages and benefits. He recounted after one week's paychecks were held up, a superintendent assured workers they would be paid the following week and urged them to keep working...

Indians golf into top 12 tie at 'national preview' tourney

NEWTON, Kan. The McCook Community College golf team is tied for 12th-place after two rounds of play at the two-day, four-round National Preview Tournament at Sand Creek Station in Newton, Kan. Children injured in bus collision with semi (State News ~ 09/28/22)

A school bus driver and 11 students were taken to Chase County Hospital following a collision with a truck Tuesday afternoon, three of the children with more serious injuries were later flown out to regional trauma centers.
