LAS VEGAS, N.M. – The McCook Community College softball team completed a four-game sweep over Luna Community College taking both ends of a Sunday. On Saturday MCC won 13-0, and 17-2. “This was a very good weekend for the team,” said MCC Coach Kevin Kaalberg. “We had 40 hits on Saturday and 30 hits on Sunday so offensively we were consistent all weekend.”...

The McCook Community College baseball team had a couple of explosive fourth innings Sunday on the way to a doubleheader sweep over Luna Community College, winning 10-4 and 13-3. The wins gave MCC a four-game sweep over the Rough Riders. Leading 3-2 in the fourth inning of Game 1, Sunday MCC scored seven times and in Game 2 trailed 1-0 in the fourth before scoring 11 runs, then putting Luna away on the 10-run rule with a pair of runs in the fifth inning...

LINCOLN, Neb. — The Nebraska State Patrol has completed a three-day search operation as part of the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Linda Dillard. Although the search effort did not locate Dillard’s remains, significant ground was covered that will assist in the investigation...

McCook Bison Golfer traveled to North Platte on Friday, March 25th to play River Edge Golf Course. Bison placed 6th out of 14 teams in the field. Coach Vetrovsky was pleased with the effort even though the scores were not where they wanted to be. “I feel like there were stretches in the round where the Bison golfers were really confident. We started a little slow and we took some big numbers. However, the longer we went through the round the scores dropped dramatically.”...

Nebraska suffered a 6-1 setback in the series finale vs. Michigan on Sunday afternoon at Hawks Field in Lincoln. The Huskers (9-13, 1-2) scored one run on six hits, while the Wolverines (13-10, 2-1) tallied six runs on nine hits. Dawson McCarville fell to 2-3 on the year after pitching 5.1 innings. ...

LAMAR, Colo. – The McCook Community College golf team was unable to make up any ground Friday in the final round of the Lamar Community College tournament as Eastern Wyoming took top team honors, Northeastern Junior College second, and MCC finished third...
