After enduring a couple tough losses to North Platte this regular season, the McCook Community men’s basketball team turned things around and beat the Knights Saturday in the play-in game of the Region IX Division 1 Tournament. The McCook Community College baseball team took a pair of games against Otero Junior College Saturday to take the series three games to one. MCC won Saturday 7-3, 10-0. “It was good to go out and win the series today,” said MCC Coach Jon Olsen. Starting pitcher Arjun Huerta, (freshman, Willemstad, Curacao) struck out 11 Rattlers in a Game 1 win and Ethan Fritz (freshman, Bellevue, Neb.) tossed a one-hit, five-inning shutout in Game 2 with the Tribe knocking five extra-base hits including three homers.. ...

The McCook Community College softball team completed a four-game sweep over Luna Community College Saturday taking a doubleheader 12-2, 9-0. “It was a great weekend of team softball,” said MCC Coach Kevin Kaalberg. “Everyone available on the roster contributed in some fashion and no game went a full seven innings. Our defense this weekend took a step forward.”...

CASPER, Wyo. – The McCook Community College volleyball season ended Friday with a five-set loss to Laramie County Community College in the consolation of the Region IX tournament. The Lady Eagles won 15-25, 25-18, 25-14, 13-25, 15-12. “This last match was up and down, but the girls finished strong,” said MCC Coach Hayley Kobza. “We just made some small mistakes that cost us the win.”...

LAMAR, Colo. – The McCook Community College golf team picked up four strokes on Eastern Wyoming Friday at the Lamar Community College Invitational but the Lancers still won by 16 strokes to take home the first 10 points of the season in the Region IX team standings points...
