MEDC seeks pledge for workforce housing revolving loan fund

McCOOK, Neb. — Several pieces of the puzzle have to come together for a community to grow, and the McCook Economic Development Corp. is seeking some help from Red Willow County to complete one of those pieces — workforce housing. Delivering a quarterly report to the county commissioners, MEDC Executive Director Andy Long asked the county consider a $25,000 pledge toward a proposal to combine grants and local funding to create a $750,000 low-interest revolving loan fund for construction of new housing and substantial rehabilitation.. ...
