McCOOK, Neb. — Following action by Nebraska’s Tax Equalization Review Commission in Lincoln, several taxing entities in McCook will have to refund their portions of $5,477.72 paid to them in taxes. Red Willow County treasurer Sue Wesch told county commissioners at their meeting Monday morning that the TERC board has reduced the 2017 real estate tax valuation on the Sixth Street Foods property in McCook, and taxing entities in McCook must now refund the $5,477.72 in taxes that Sixth Street has already paid.. ...
