Prostate group plans to form

Our prostate cancer discussion group had its first meeting on Jan. 22, 2015. The seven guys in attendance expressed a willingness to meet again on a Thursday noon. We have reserved the meeting room at the Pizza Hut for Thursday, Feb. 19. Perhaps we can plan on the third Thursday of every month for as long as folks are interested. There were a couple of guys who had conflicts last month that we hope to see this time...

A very dangerous move is underfoot in the Nebraska Legislature. Newly-elected Senator Ebke introduced LR 35 calling for an Article V convention "limited to proposing amendments to the Constitution of the United States that impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office for its officials and for members of Congress". A hearing is scheduled February 25th at 1:30 p.m. at the State Capitol building...

We notice developments every day in alternative means of transportation, from hybrid to plug-in hybrids to straight electric cars (Apple most recently mentioned) to hydrogen fuel-cell vehicles. While alternative energy for transportation is showing promise, better batteries and breakthrough technology announced on a regular basis, most of us are going to be dependent on oil for many years to come...
