The $600 scholarship presented to Hannah Goss June 19 by ESA Foundation representative Sunya Decker of McCook is one of 191 ESA Foundation scholarships, valued at $238,650, presented this spring to post-secondary students world-wide...

Dundy County project wins Ak-Sar-Ben grant

OMAHA, Neb. -- A Dundy County project and five others will receive Ak-Sar-Ben Friends matching funds grants. The Cornerstone Center for Community Service by the Dundy County Foundation will share in the $5,000 grant. When the Dundy County Elementary school was closed and placed on the real estate market, a group of citizens proposed that it be preserved and turned into a center for Community Engagement. In 1882 the Railroad, through its Real Estate Division, The Lincoln Land Co., had succeeded in establishing a town on the north side of the Republican River.
