The Rise of Gog and Magog
(Column ~ 06/21/13)
Dear Friend, God is at work behind the scenes to bring about everything He has prophesied thousands of years before they happened. Destructive earthquakes have increased dramatically in our time. In Matthew 24:7 we read, "For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and in various places there will be famines and EARTHQUAKES. ...

You have to trust somebody
(Column ~ 06/21/13)
Whenever someone says, "Trust me," I start looking for the door, or at least a wall to back up against. Experience has taught me that too much pain, too many betrayals, and too many knives in the back have resulted from that innocuous little invitation. So, generally I say, "Thanks, but no thanks. I'll handle this myself."...

State failing to follow recipe for Work Ethic Camp
(Editorial ~ 06/21/13)
Comments by a judge in Lincoln remind us of the first time an elderly relative tried Tang. "Try this, grandpa," was the pitch. "It's what the astronauts drink." The directions are lost to time, but probably called for something like four heaping teaspoons to a glass of water...

A most remarkable tournament
(Local News ~ 06/21/13)
I don't write about golf very often for a couple of reasons. Many people consider it to be an elitist sport, played primarily by people of money. Many others who have either never played or play very seldom consequently have little interest in it either...

Everything you never wanted to know
(Column ~ 06/21/13)
My mother visited this week and informed me that one of my previous columns may have been exaggerated a bit. While recalling an incident where my mother drove her Mustang off the side of a snowy mountain pass road in Montana, many years ago, I said the vehicle suffered little to no damage and my mother walked to a nearby emergency phone to call for help. In reality, the vehicle suffered disabling damage consisting of a broken axle and needed significant body work as well...
