Changing my title

Well, as of this week, I am officially changing my title from stay-at-home mom to working mom. Yes ... it's true. After 12 years of staying home and raising three little girls, I'm now going to take on the challenge of STILL raising three girls while also working a full time job. I know moms do this all the time so I'm sure I can pull it off, but man am I nervous. It reminds me of having a baby ... very excited but very scared all at the same time...

I am amazed and appalled at the audacity of the City Council and the city manager taking away the rights of the people and spending money with no regard as to who has to pay the bills. Every time I read of the City Council they are changing the rules so they don't have to be accountable to the people and justify the spending and added taxation the good people of McCook...

Longevity, merit push city raises near 7 percent

McCOOK, Nebraska -- While the proposed city budget includes a 2.5 percent wage increase, the actual increase is closer to 7 percent when merit and longevity increases are included, according to an analysis of budget figures.
