If the reality of $4-plus gasoline hasn't sunk in yet, just wait a few days. That's when we'll begin paying an additional 3 cents per gallon -- actually a half-cent lower than had been expected -- in state fuel taxes. That means, until the end of the year, we'll pay 26 cents per gallon in Nebraska to keep our roads in good repair...

As the cost of gasoline skyrockets, so does the price of fireworks. We Americans should be thankful we can afford the finest, even though they are often made in Japan. Yet there are many little Iraqi children who will not be able to celebrate their democratization by setting off little bombs. Why? Because their family cannot afford it. Please send any money you have left from your economic stimulus check to the new democratic government of the recently bombed Red, White and Blue Zone of Baghdad...
