Mitzi hangs out the passenger window of Brad Carlson's truck as he drives through McCook recently. Carlson, of Holbrook, said the 13-year-old Bichon "travels everywhere -- coast-to-coast, and everywhere in-between." Carlson said the little dog often attracts attention, especially from little kids, whom he notices waving and pointing at her as they drive by. ...

It's amazing it has gone on as long as it has. Southwest Nebraska drivers who find themselves low on gasoline near Interstate 80 may have been lured into a couple of gasoline stations with those large, annoying flashing LED signs, advertising "low" gasoline prices...

I had a woman new to McCook area, stop at the store. Her words were not kind for the area, for she brought a half-blood wolf pup with her and the local animal doctors refused to work on anything wild so she has to go clear to North Platte for such service. Makes me glad I raise plants!...
