I'm not exactly sure what's gotten into Brad lately. I came home from work the other day to find him cleaning my kitchen. He decided one night he wanted steak and shrimp for dinner. He actually went outside and grilled the steak. He knew I was busy trying to get the Gazette's "Progress" edition together so he made me a dinner of Hamburger Helper and dinner rolls...

Hergert task force in quandry

The legislative task force appointed to look into the possible impeachment of University of Nebraska Regent Dave Hergert is in a quandary because of a ruling by a Lancaster County District Judge vacating an order to convene a grand jury. Sen. Tom Baker, a member of the task force, said during his weekly call to the McCook Chamber of Commerce Legislative Committee this morning, that Lancaster County District Judge Steven Burns' ruling has thrown the task force a "complete curve."...
