Ugh.... the dreaded spring time change is upon us.
Of the two time changes we must endure, the spring ahead one is definitely the more difficult of the two for me. It takes much more time to adjust to 'springing' ahead.
We have to change nine clocks and two watches before heading to bed. Thank goodness, the cell phones and the TV - DVR machine are changed accordingly by the companies supplying the services. I will have to manually update the computer clock tomorrow since I have an antiquated machine by 2010 standards.
Now, don't get me wrong, I like the time change as the evening daylight time is lengthened. It makes running errands after work much more enjoyable. I am also looking forward to being able to enjoy the evening beverage on the porch.
However, mornings are a killer. That hour makes a huge difference to me. Granted mornings aren't my thing to begin with and then to have to start even earlier is no treat for these middle-aged bones. I am time challenged in the mornings anyway and the hour adjustment will make it even worse.
Even as a kid in school I can remember just hating the spring time change. Granted it was later in the year before the powers-that-be moved the change earlier in the year. . I can remember just feeling like crap for a couple of weeks and I had the grade swing as well. Now, I will just feel like crap for a couple of weeks at least (probably a month) and will have to muddle through at work.
Central Daylight Time - oh joy.
