Here is an ABC news clip about where some of the funding comes from... http://cosmos.bcst.yahoo.com/up/player/popup/?rn=3906861&cl=11623648&ch=4226716&...

The piece sure shows how much money talks, at least in the eye of some of the extremely rich.

  • Conflicted? I think a better word for me would be enraged, disappointed, or maybe I should feel releived that I was right. The money for the inaugeration is coming from special interest groups that Mr. Obama said could not buy him. This confirms what I have thought for decades, the presidency along with every other office in the government is not ellected, it is sold to the highest bidder. Why else would special interest groups or corporate leaders throw thier money at these people. There wont be any changes made. We will pay the same, if not more taxes to help pay for the mistakes of incompetent businessmen that have bought a piece of our government. You might see an end to the current war, but there will be another. There will be no improved health care system. Insurance companies have supplied the economy with too many jobs trying to extort money from us, and they own a piece of the government too. The people that make equipment for the healthcare industry also need to sell million dollar pieces of equipment that are no more advanced than a color television, these people own a piece of the government too. And we will continue to allow illegals to immigrate to this country and steal our culture, take american jobs, destroy communities, and over populate all of the jails and prisons because the people that recruit and import these workers own a piece of our government too. I thought Mr. Obama was apalled when the CEO's of the auto industry arrived in Washington in private jets to ask for a bail out. At least he is getting a piece of the bail out money back. Party Hard Mr. Obama

  • Hats off to Brian Ross - ABC News for getting this information out there!! - That is the clip that Brian listed in his post.

Wow - again - money talks and that is the only way to get politicians to listen... Seriously - the change was just campaign rhetoric.

Conflicted - is not quite adequate at this point.
