I before M
I purchased - yes PAID - for an advertisement in my younger daughter's annual. You know - the senior family ads. I paid the money and sent the appropriate written message and photo - just like I had done for the older daughter.
The very least that should have been accomplished was making certain that the NAMES on the ad were spelled correctly. It did not happen. And by the way - I keep copies of those things - and I spelled the names correctly!!
It is too late to do anything about it. We certainly won't get a refund, which we should get for the cost of the ad. My daughters - both the one whom the ad was purchased for and the one whose name was misspelled should at the minimum get an apology for the mistake.
If you purchased a yearbook from our former school - please take out your pen - go to the senior message page - cross out the misspelling and write in the correct spelling for the older one's name. The "I" comes before the "M".
Thanks for all your help correcting this in those annuals. Computer spell checks are not always correct.
