WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE
WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE
By Arley Steinhour 050118
There is a story that’s gone untold,
About a child, who was very Bold;
Who took some sticks and a bit of Clay,
And made ‘Sparrow Birds,’ with which to Play.
Lifting the Clay-Birds, as if in Flight,
‘On Sabbath day,’ gave Priests a Fright,
‘How Dare you, boy, do Work on Sabbath;
Haven’t you Learned, you’ll bring God’s Wrath?’
The boy, looked up, into the Priestly eyes,
And, then, he looked up to Clear Blue Skies;
Saying, ‘Don’t you know the Father Smiles,
When a child ‘imagines,’ what HE Compiles?’
The boy looked down, ‘Gently Blowing his Breath,’
Onto the Clay Sparrows, in hand (as if in Death);
Feathers and Life, now seen (on what was only Clay),
‘Sparrows took wing,’ as they flew, ‘Safely Away.’
This Story climaxes, with ‘Priests in Conundrum,’
‘Did they see what they Saw, or have Priestly Tantrum?’
Father, Joseph, reminded them, Yashuah, was a Child,
Not-yet ‘Accountable,’ for what made them ‘Riled.’
There’s no further mention, on His ‘Creation of Life,’
Yet, it gives good example, of man’s ‘Leadership Strife,’
When they attack little Children, for Innocent Play,
As they Grow, and Mature, ‘Understanding God’s Way.’
Gently, but Firmly, we need to ‘Enlighten Children,’
Though they ‘not be God,’ We are all God’s Brethren,
Created, in a way, that makes ‘Each of Us Special;’
‘FAMILY of GOD, ETERNALLY CELESTIAL.’
(In that, ‘WE ARE ACCOUNTABLE!’)
AMEN
