Moving Daylight Portal
Moving Daylight Portal
By Arley Steinhour 031018
The Sun will Rise tomorrow,
An hour later, than it did today,
If one Doesn’t set the clock, ‘Sorrow,’
May cause your Church-going to Delay.
I sometimes ponder, changing of ‘Day Time,’
Should man be Moving Daylight Portal,
Very few Countries play, or have a Pastime,
They watch Americans, and Snigger, or Chortle.
God’s Time, is a mountain, we can’t climb,
Until we Graduate, through Death’s Portal,
Man’s Time, a Swamp, of mostly Slime,
We move it twice, each year, ever so Casual .’
Man, worships the Sunlight, ‘A Failing,’
While his Worship should be upon God,
In Spring, ‘leap forward,’ Sun-Trailing,
In Fall, ‘fall back,’ for sleep that ‘Lazy Applaud.’
The hour lost, when Sun dropped back an hour,
Is gained in the Fall, with an extra hour of sleep,
Extra time for Praying, or a long, hot, shower,
What-ever, there’s more time for Personal Upkeep.
More Sunlight is for Yard-Work, or Play after School,
Although, the day isn’t shortened, or lengthened,
There’s more time for Mowing Lawn, or Play at the Pool,
Adjusting Time, affects only, the length of Sun’s Declension.
Back-When, ‘Moby-Dick’ was but a Minnow,
Man could adjust to the Workload so Easy,
Simply determine, Work Load, and Flow,
To hours that Work Best, without ‘Daylight Parcheesi.’
AMEN
