Shine Worthy in Tribulation
Shine Worthy in Tribulation
By Arley Steinhour 122317
God Tested me, with ‘Green Water,’
That flew closely over my head,
Just before the Dreadful Slaughter,
Of the Thousands, of Storms to Dread.
Near, Hong Kong it was, in Fifty-Nine,
Typhoon Wind blew, to end many lives,
Cat-5-Plus-Typhoon, that ‘Tempered the Spine,’
Of Man, and ‘Destroyer,’ that somehow Survived.
A Special Mission, on which, we Deployed,
Our Squadron of Four, was aimed at its Center,
Change of Course, ‘Refused, Not to be Employed,’
Thus, All ‘Hands’ to Station, ‘Survival, the Tenor.’
Here and there, we heard a Prayer,
Fighting, Seventy-foot waves, tearing Ships Skin,
Flooding quite bad, but pumps did their share,
Barely equating ‘outflow,’ from that ‘coming in.’
God heard our Prayers, Typhoon did a Turn,
Almost Ninety Degrees, from original Path,
A boon, to we at Sea, but later to Learn,
Hong Kong was centered, with Much-Death.
Many, felt guilty, for requesting Survival,
As Dead, reached into the Thousands,
Yet, we weren’t ‘Out of the Woods,’ for Revival,
Of Mission; to prevent sinking ‘Required All Hands.’
Mission was cancelled, (I guess, due to Weather),
Or, perhaps, (‘Whether, or not, we could go on),
So, off to the Philippines, we went, to Tether,
In Dry-Dock, for Four, so Hulls be ‘Restored.’
Of ‘Seven Dangers,’ this was worst, of Five ‘Storm-Encounters,’
‘Fifty-Nine, my First Voyage, of Sea Yearnings,’ to appease;
My ‘Green Gills,’ gave way, to Seasoned ‘Sea-Life-Adventures,’
On Nine Ships, both, Upon, and Under, Surface of Seven Seas.
Note that I mentioned ‘Prayers to our God,’
That the ‘Storm, Turn Away,’ that Fateful Day,
What we didn’t think about, ‘God might use the Rod,’
On Land, or Hong Kong, to ‘Sate Storm Away.’
To all, that belong to God/Jesus, I plea,
Ask not, that you don’t suffer Temptation,
Better yet, ‘Be Ready for Testing, with Glee,’
‘In God/Jesus, Shine Worthy in Tribulation.’
Passing the Tests, that come our Way,
Helps to ‘Cultivate Rewards in Heaven,’
‘Blessed is he, willing death, to display,
Love of Sinners,’ who ‘Might be Freed, of Leven.’
AMEN
