To Your Glory
To Your Glory
By Arley Steinhour 102017
I come before, Your Holy Throne,
Seeking Wisdom, for Heart to Find,
I stand before You all alone,
Reborn in You, to speak my mind.
In need of Judgment, from Your Lips True,
On a subject that’s dear to my heart,
You, who Commanded, ‘Poetic-Praise to You,’
And I’ve done my best to do, my part.
The question of ‘Context, or Offering Intent,’
By pictures I use, to Sharpen Subject Focus,
When added to words, to be a Supplement,
That they not be condemned, as Sinful nor Bogus.
You gave, to Israel, the Decalogue, written in Stone,
Written with your finger, that all knew ‘It be True,’
I use pictures, for Focus, so my words don’t Stand Alone,
That Unsaved Might See, and Turn their Hearts to You.
Nothing man offers, is ‘Tender for Eternity,’
Only You, our Creator, can ‘Save and Qualify,’
As we enter Millennial Day, Behind, or Fraternity,
With Jesus the God/Man, to Whom ‘Reborn Fly.’
I want to see Peace, between Reborn in Church,
As we approach Tribulation, Harsh words do Fly,
Do I retain the Picture-Focus, or be Left in Lurch,
Until You Come to our ‘Rescue,’ or, if ‘Wrong, Cry?’
To you, all I think, say, and do is To Your Glory,
As ‘I Cast my poetic net, to the ‘Right Side,’ I Pray,’
To keep Boat Full of Seekers, from ‘Young to Hoary,’
That, they’ll open hearts, to ‘Make You Their Stay.’
AMEN
