Paucity of Mammon
Paucity of Mammon
By Arley Steinhour 082717
Soon comes the days of Famine,
Worse than when I was born,
With, Great Paucity of Mammon,
In God’s, Cornucopic Horn.
Pestilence, and Famine, will Reign,
Days, of Dust-storms, peeling paint,
God’s Sky can’t Cry, on window pane,
As most crops die, and Man Grows Faint.
Faint of Heart, and Spirit, Strength,
‘Since, so many people disappeared,’
That Fateful Day, of Painful Length,
To Earth, Only clothing Fluttered.
Words of, ‘UFO,’ and ‘I don’t know,’
The official response to that day,
Government gives quite a Show,
Of Secular Pomp, and Display.
Many Churches, go up for Sale,
As Congregations, mostly, did Vanish,
Mayhem Reigning, some in Jail,
Mostly, Christians being Pollyannaish.
Hunted down, as if Witches,
Who, Condemned Mankind,
‘Removed, to hellish-niches,
By god, Wrathfully-Consigned.’
For Seven Years, Tribulation will Last,
‘Twenty Percent,’ breathing, at its end,
After a Thousand Years, has ‘Past,’
‘Final Judgment,’ only ‘Jesus’ can Defend.
‘Only,’ ‘Reborn, in God/Jesus,’ are safe,
To Graduate to Heaven as Home,
‘All others,’ not in Book, ‘Sorely Chafe,’
With, Eternity in ‘Flaming Lake’s Catacomb.’
AMEN
