Fulfilling my Station
Fulfilling my Station
By Arley Steinhour 061117
I Love you and I Worship you,
With all my heart, mind and Soul,
Now that My days are getting Few,
I have time to focus on my Goal.
You are my only Worship,
You are my only God,
Surrendering to your Leadership,
I pray, you spare the Rod.
Each morning on awakening,
I cry out your Holy Name,
Spend time in Prayer, Forsaking,
All things, short of Your Fame.
I pray you come soon, Dear Lord,
My body is fading to my Shame,
I’ve lived almost to Eighty, with Sword,
Now I count on Your Holy Name.
No matter how High I flew,
Or, how deep my Sub would go,
I knew that you were there, so True,
Especially, when deep Below.
My Mortal Life, you’ve spared, Repeatedly,
Planes, Ships, and wayward Auto,
By Drowning, or Death, suffered Peevishly,
Or, Enemy showing Hostile Bravado.
Now that I’m Age’ed, and short on Life,
I Pray that you come for the Church/Bride,
I’d rather not suffer the Keen edge of Knife,
But, as You Will, for me, I come, arms open Wide.
I Pray that my Time Prepares me for Graduation,
And, Has fulfilled all you desire I do,
No Soul have I missed, Fulfilling my Station,
That I’ve done all I can do, for You.
So many, potential, Brothers and Sisters,
So Little Time to Wake them to You,
I Pray, when I graduate, You’ve Heard my Whispers,
Of Prayerful Supplication, I offer, so True.
My Brothers and Sisters, have no Flame in their Lamp,
Their wick is untrimmed, They’ve no place to go,
If Only they’d awaken, and set up a ‘New Camp,’
Facing You, their Salvation, they’d Know.
AMEN
