Mortal Life that is Flowing
By Arley Steinhour 060217
No matter how old,
the Point-Thirty was Gold,
The water kept it working,
Until it was hot, then not so bold.
And the Trigger acted quite Old,
And, It's Duty was somewhat Shirking.
I'd still like to enjoy,
That gun as my Toy,
Than a BB gun, Filled to the Brim,
Varmints are good,
But, only for Dog food,
When shooting 'Crop Enemy,' grim.
I don’t want to be,
As Ridiculous as thee,
Not knowing where I’m Going;
There's gotta be,
A Better Sign for me,
Than, Mortality, that is showing.
I know I'm but one,
For Labors, not fun,
Still you Tell me, ‘The Race is ‘Won;’
I rise in the night,
Bask in your Light,
And write my Praise to ‘The SON.’
AMEN
