Disparity Projected
Disparity Projected
By Arley Steinhour 040717
I must have done something to break your heart,
Through the years that we were One,
Our memories, differ right from the Start,
As, our memories seem to be separately Spun.
I remember, this, you remember, that,
Yet, the memory is of same occasion,
One must be the Eagle, the other the Gnat,
Relating the days of old, with absolute persuasion.
I’ve flown to the Heights, and Depths of the Sea,
Accomplished more than most hearts can Dream,
But, in your memory, I’m far less than a ‘Pea,’
And, to me, Your ‘Second,’ makes me want to Scream.
His verbal abuse, you never heard from me,
Yet you let people think, I misused you,
You’d rather think dirt, over what you saw free,
The man who stayed loyal, in Cracker-Jack Blue.
You once told the others, how much ‘I’m Loved,
Him, seeking out Post office, in lands way beyond,
To send me a note, saying how much I’m Beloved,’
With you, not knowing where to write, to Respond.
Hakodate, be one, Maizuru, another, with no mail,
Yet, I found a way, to express my love for you,
Even to events that could have sent me to Jail;
But, worthy of the trial, to share, my love so True.
Yet, you have decided to denigrate my name,
The times I was Home, to share with Family,
By taking on self, all of my Family Fame,
Refusing my Love, without consideration nor Amnesty.
Now, here we are in our separate Dotage,
With no one to call on but the other,
But, neither of us, can live in same Cottage,
With Disparity Projected, on the ‘Grand-Other.’
Ponder the words of your ‘Spiritual-Brother.’
AMEN
