Freeway to Destruction
Freeway to Destruction
By Arley Steinhour 031717
In the Glory of the Morning,
As birds sing, to budding trees,
Gives urge, to feel Belonging,
To our God, on Bended knees.
Repentance of Our Imperfection,
Begs, Guidance throughout the Day,
On 'Life's Freeway, unto Destruction,
You'd, reach out, and 'Light the Way.'
As a Just, and Loving God,
We may Choose our Eternal Sway,
By Growth, in Mortally, though Flawed,
We Must, Accept the Price You Paid.
We Celebrate your Resurrection,
On that day, Greeks called Easter;
As 'First Fruit Perfection,' Man's Redemption,
'Defeating First Death,' and the ‘Grim Reaper.’
The ‘Days,' we have, for 'Making our Choice,’
From 'Sin-Judgment,' to ‘Grace Redemption,’
May soon, 'Come to an End, with Your ‘Voice,’
Calling: ‘Come up Here,’ in 'Your Holy Direction.'
We, the Remnant, of Your Highly Esteemed,
Will Fly up to You, in the Blue Sky, Above,
Maybe, to 'End the Time,' of the ‘Grace-Redeemed,’
Through, “Repentance, Acceptance, and Love.”
AMEN
