Change of Feather
Change of Feather
By Arley Steinhour 030617
We've hung our bags, of Sin and Dross,
That, You Redeemed, upon the Cross,
Past, Present, Future, No More Loss,
Justified, in Your Blood, 'like an 'Albatross.''
You gave us wings, to 'lift and soar,'
But, with legs, too short, for 'Easy Flight,'
Without, great effort, and 'Something More,'
'Strong Breeze, under Wing, to Make us 'Alight.'
As, Albatross Squab, we enter Mortality,
Beauty, in Ugly, as 'Parents Will Ogle,'
Among, many acts of Mortal 'Brutality,'
Maturing, as we grow, by what we 'Bungle.'
Tradition, calls, for a 'Change of Feather,'
At, threshold in lives, called, 'Learning,'
'The Way,' to Provide, in all 'Social Weather,'
'Satisfaction with Needs,' NOT, 'Sinful Yearning.'
First Flight, to God, and the 'Horizon,'
Each one, Gains Flight, in 'Vicarious Days,
That, Sinful Nature, begins to 'Wizen,'
And, Accept, Redemption, of Godly-Stays.
Only one 'Man,' begat to Virgin, by God,
Is the 'Gate, to Redemption, or Judge,'
Emanuel, our Redeemer, 'Bearing the Rod,'
To Point to Paradise, or to Flame, and Sludge.
'Take-Off, at Best, may, include 'Horrified,'
As well as 'Landing', till, overcoming, Satan's Lies,
Awkward, at Least, until Heart is Glorified,
And Spirit, Indwells, giving 'Understanding Eyes.'
The Time, is short, before the Groom Snatches,
Church/Bride (Albatross), to spread wing, and Fly,
Seven Years, at Wedding Feast, Exactly, Matches,
The Time, of Tribulation; many 'Left Behind, 'DIE.''
AMEN
