Souls on the Road
Souls on the Road
By Arley Steinhour 122816
I know you told me,
Write Praises, to You,
But, lately, I be,
Writing, Red, White, and Blue.
The Pro's that I write,
Are, heartfelt, that's true,
But, response is a blight,
On my Praises, to You.
They that shared loyally,
Have now, walked away,
At best, I reach locally,
With some of which I say.
You said, 'Write to Me,
All that's, in your heart,
With Rhyme, of Poetry,
With any thought, start.'
I Call out from the wilderness,
For sisters and brothers, to share,
In all Christian Tenderness,
To find, they that will Care.
I thank you for guidance,
For words I've not known,
Having, Greater Substance,
Meanings, written in stone.
Searchers, are Few,
Followers, fall away,
From what we should do,
On, every given Day.
A short time ago, many did share,
The distance covered, not known,
Yet, ever so many, did truly Care,
About those, searching, Alone.
I know who you are, God the Son,
Search-Fishing, for Unsaved Souls,
I feel, as if, I've let You Down,
I'm missing many of Your Goals.
Reach out, and touch, the unsaved heart,
To find your Salvation, for their Soul, Unsaved,
Keep Your Path full, as we gather, and Impart,
A Bounty of Souls, on the Road, You have Paved.
AMEN
