Patriot Twilight Zone

We celebrate this Veterans Day,
But, not this year, in same old Way,
We had an Election, from 'Twilight Zone,'
The Sure-Fire Loser had 'Won on his Own.'

Nobody knows if our POTUS, Elect,
Has what it Takes, to face Disrespect,
Many, it seems, want to undo Constitution,
Turn aside Election, to forego Revolution.

Today, I attended, a School Celebration,
Thanking Veterans, for Serving our Nation,
The Children, enjoyed, giving Praises with Glee,
Most all Vet's, shed a tear, including me.

Their Patriotic Spirit, rang, loud as a Bell,
Brought forth, many memories, this-one could Tell,
The School had won, coveted, Patriotic, Prize,
Only, two, in this State, and the Pride, it Implies.

These, young, are still many years away,
From being a 'Veteran,' with Service-Sway,
For, guarding our Nation's, Mortal, Freedom,
Maybe to live in, Paradise, God's Eden.
