False Front Chalet
False Front Chalet
By Arley Steinhour 101016
When I was just a youngster-child,
Christian Churches, drove me wild,
Most, worked on Strong Suggestion,
'Going to Church was Right Direction.'
To, go to Church, and give a Tithe,
Follow Rules, kept one's Spirit Alive,
Alive, in God, through His Son,
'Jesus, and Attendance, and Satan's Undone.'
The only 'Calling,' to God's Alter,
Was for Communion, lest we 'Falter,'
To Refuse, meant, 'Not a Christian,'
Not a part of 'Holly Commission.'
We went to Church, Winter, and Summer,
Wintered, in town, in Summer, a Country Charmer,
Both, offered Sunday School, and Service, for all,
But Country had, Lunch and Games on Call.
Communion, in town, was for all that believe,
For Country Church, as member must cleave,
Brother, Sister, and I, could not 'Partake,'
'As, non-members, of Church;' a big 'Mistake.'
We left that Country Church, that day,
To, never return, for Learning, or Play,
Communion, is for a person to Cleave,
Heart to Jesus, none-other to Grieve.
Years, went by, till I understood,
Rules can be Good, if not of 'Wood,'
Pews, are a place to, sit, sing, and Pray,
Small Church, or Cathedral, don't have Sway.
God/Jesus, is KING, of all He purvey,
Man can't appreciate, God's Cosmic Buffet,
Man's 'Rules of Restriction,' drive many away,
Some, even to Satan, in his 'False-Front-Chalet.'
Turn your heart, unto Jesus, and 'Study your Bible,'
Find a Good Church, that speaks to 'Bible-Revival,'
Where heart can earn Blessings, 'Pricelessly-Bridal,'
To Have and to Hold, Eternal JOY, 'Indescribable.'
AMEN
