  • Arley, you never miss a chance to look down your old nose at people on Welfare.

Just as there are Farmers that receive Government Assistance when not truly needed, so are there Welfare Recipients that receive Government Assistance when not truly needed.

Practice your Christian Principals Arley, if you have any remaining.

  • Dear Geezer, I am so sorry you completely missed what I was alluding to with my words. I was not attacking people for being on Welfare, for crying out loud, I was making a statement about how the Government gets people onto Welfare (in the pen), and then makes it so tough for the 'Needy' to escape the system (pen), that those 'Needy,' are actually punished for the attempt, so to speak.

President Reagan said it best, when he quipped about how dangerous it was for someone to come up to you, and tell someone 'I am from the Government, and I'm here to """Help""" you.'

In my Christianity, that you seem to love invoking disparaging remarks at, God's Word says 'Once Saved, Always Saved,' and the Government has something like that, that is something like, 'Once enrolled in a help program, we own you, and you can't do anything except subjugate your life to our way of things.' (I paraphrase, as I understand your attitude, Sir!!) Please forgive my return snippiness, but you almost always seem to take an adverse understanding to my words. Please reread, a bit slower, perhaps, and you may understand that I am feeling sorry for the Needy, but, not the 'Greedy,' who make a profession out of living off of Welfare. I believe you will agree that we have too many of the Greedy (Play the loop-holes in the system) types that should not be 'IN the system.'

  • PS: Geezer. Did you notice that the 'one' family they are addressing is living on 'Less than $2.00(US), per 'DAY??' The article is, In My Opinion, twisting, and misleading with false calculations.

We can disagree, but let us do it agreeably, please. I'm not perfect at that, either, but let us try. What-Say??
