Night Time Blues
Night Time Blues
By Arley Steinhour 052016
I awaken, with the Night Time Blues,
With head and shoulders Sun-burn Hot,
Up, and out of bed, I'm forced to choose,
Cold drink of milk, chugged like drunken Sot.
Milk didn't help the skin, aflame,
But, it cooled my inner being,
The tingle feeling of 'sun-burn' name,
Interrupted, dream of Drug-lord Sting.
Blue Powder flying here and there,
As they grabbed the money to run,
A Million dollars, Fed's would declare,
Lost to a Reverse Sting, played 'Just for Fun.'
They'd played the Cops, by 'Just Fooling,'
Who'd have laurel hopes pinned to Cap,
A Million Dollar deal had them Drooling,
But, turned 'Blue,' failing to Entrap.
The Bad guys came from College-Dorms,
To play this trick on the 'Blue-Uniform,'
By causing 'Reverse Blue-dye Storms,'
Before Arrest could become the Norm.
I hate to say, their ruse worked well,
The 'Cops' fell for their Lie that day,
Powdered Sugar lying reward, did tell,
As was all of the Cops, who had to Pay.
When you witness to a man's Sinning,
Remember that he may play the game,
Changing your words by Sugar Spinning,
Leaving you 'Blue,' with tarnished name.
Follow Jesus, through every Hatred and Sneer,
From those who would Stumble our Walk,
Even if they kill you, you'll be able to Cheer,
Forgive them, the Sting, of Satan's 'Lying Talk.'
AMEN
