Mortal and Eternal Healing

Land-locked here, upon this bed,
Not allowed to stand, or walk,
I live the life, of Hospital 'Dread,'
Being at Pleasure, of Doctor's Clock.

A Time, for sleep, and for waking,
Treatment, of ills, or cause of Pain,
Even, of Food, for our Partaking,
So long as it fits, Extreme Gain.

A body leak, has me confined,
To life of strife, if there's no correction,
The loss of Blood, not, defined,
Could create, a Heavenly Connection.

When carried through the 'Auto-door,'
With all the papers, one signs,
As Subjects, all we were before,
Now in the Charge of Medical Minds.

They do their best, as Science Goes,
To heal, and return the Patient,
To Healthy Life, from Painful Woes,
To prevent from being a 'Heavenly-Transient.'

When occasion calls for recuperation,
Earthly treatment can make 'Body' well,
Jesus Heals Sin, for Eternal Salvation,
To keep the 'Soul,' from going to Hell.
