Tear and Cheer
Tear and Cheer
By Arley Steinhour 021816
To write about Sis, would take a year,
Volume upon Volume, of Tear, and Cheer,
Her life, of Faith, with children She'd share,
Much love and guidance, with tender care.
Siblings, a bunch, Seventeen tally-counts,
Father and mother, were 'baby-founts,
Half, Step, and Adopted, plus walk-in, a family-bomb,
Sis, loved them all, ten, for a time, called her 'Mom.'
Lord, God, was her 'Stay,' through most all her life,
Except, perhaps, while living in 'diaper-strife,'
In youth, we, original three, love Church going,
To hear about Jesus, and His Holy Love, flowing.
When times were lean, she'd find something to cook,
So her family never had an hungry, or starving look,
She canned for the future, with tender care,
That there be plenty, with all she would share.
Sing, Praises to Jesus, she's finally Home,
No more the suffering, and Pain is all gone,
We, of the Faithful will see Sis, again,
When We 'Graduate,' soon, to her 'Joyous-Plain.'
AMEN
